* Reports to: Senior Manager, Aftermarket - Warehouse

* Location: La Vergne, TN

* Number of Positions: 1

* Other: Exempt position, not eligible for overtime pay

 

Position Summary: Management of new Nashville warehouse location 

 

Position Responsibilities

 

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

 

* Manage all aspects of AWA Nashville warehouse operations and oversee local customer service team.

* Manage three (3) primary warehouse teams including Receiving, Kitting & Shipping.

* Coordinate facilities management with Branch Administration.

* Personnel Management including coordination with Human Resources for both permanent and temporary warehouse team members.

* Consistent Kaizen initiatives should be developed with regular progress reports to management.

* Support CTPAT & TS Certification processes and ongoing maintenance.

* Assure processes are in place and reviewed regularly to complete Aftermarket shipments in an accurate and timely fashion.   Other types of business / shipments as required.

* Ensure that all inventory transactions are properly documented in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.

* Ensure team members have the tools and training to complete their job functions in a safe & efficient manner. 

* Maintain the safety & security of the warehouse facility and its operations.

* Ability to operate a variety of warehouse equipment including forklifts.  Oversee the repair and maintenance of warehouse equipment as needed.

* Work with IT to develop & maintain warehouse system infrastructure.

* Other tasks and duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Required Skills and Abilities

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

* 15 years of warehouse operations experience / strong decision making & problem solving skills 

* Strong personnel management experience

* Computer knowledge as it pertains to inventory, receiving & distribution (Oracle)

 

Beneficial Skills and Experience:

* In-depth automotive product knowledge

* Understanding of Aftermarket customers & unique requirements

 

Education/Training/Certifications

* High School diploma 

* Forklift operation 

* In-depth understanding of transportation methods & documentation 

 

Work Environment Requirements

* Must be able to operate a personal computer, telephone and other office equipment.

* Must perform job duties onsite, except those duties that are customarily or by their nature performed offsite (for example, offsite customer visits).

* Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment where constructive criticism is encouraged.

* Must be able to work on multiple assignments at once, and complete assignments within deadline and budget (if applicable) with satisfactory quality.

* Must be able to operate as an effective team member.

* Must be committed to a high standard of safety, and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all company safety policies.

 

Attendance/Work Hour Requirements

* Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.

* Must be willing and available to work a full time regular work schedule, plus other hours per day or week as necessary or desirable to meet business needs.

* Must be willing and available to work such weekends and holidays as necessary and desirable to meet business needs.

* NOTE: These requirements are consistent with Company policy.

 

Travel Requirements

* Approximately 10% depending on customer and program needs

* Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
