Position Summary

Responsible for supporting Sales Planning and Product Planning activities including translation + providing Admin support to Sales Executives.

Other: Non-exempt position, eligible for overtime pay

Job Requirements

Position Responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

Primary Responsibilities – Sales Planning & Product Planning:

Sales Planning Related: <PRIMARY>

1.   Support and be fully cross-trained for Sales Report creation including Sales Plan vs. Result analysis [Preparing various sales data, etc.]

2.   Support and be fully cross-trained for sales and financial related reports.

3.   Support preparing and implementing the Monthly Operations Meeting.

4.   Support preparing “Annual Sales Plan”

5.   Support preparing “Long Term Sales Plan”

6.   Support and be fully cross-trained for market data research and analysis.

7.   Prepare presentation materials for key meetings [Sales Strategy, Board of Directors Meeting, etc.]

8.   Perform translations as required.

9.   Perform special projects as required.

Executive Support Related: <SECONDARY>

10.  Provide administrative support to sales management for meetings and special events, including translation.

11.  Provide administrative support to executives, for example, book meetings, assist with outside company gifts/awards and misc. errands.

Required Skills and Abilities

Essential Skills and Experience:

*1-2 years of work experience in planning, market research or related field [prior experience in automotive industry strongly preferred.

*Analytical skills to include extensive financial data analysis.

*High level of creativity and proven experience/ability of creating effective PowerPoint presentations.

*Excellent bi-lingual English-Japanese language skills with full fluency (written, oral and translation).

*Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows based database.

*High level of interpersonal and communication skills

*Excellent administrative skills

Beneficial Skills and Experience:

* Data analysis, Financial analysis, Marketing and Planning background [Tier 1 supplier background preferred]
* Event coordinating and travel background


* Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent training  
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)

Work Environment Requirements:

* Must be able to operate a personal computer, telephone and other office equipment.
* Must perform job duties onsite, except those duties that are customarily or by their nature performed offsite (for example, offsite customer visits).
* Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment where constructive criticism is encouraged.
* Must be able to work on multiple assignments at once, and complete assignments within deadline and budget (if applicable) with satisfactory quality.
* Must be able to operate as an effective team member.
* Must be committed to a high standard of safety, and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all company safety policies.

Attendance/Work Hour Requirements:

* Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
* Must be willing and available to work such weekends and holidays as necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
* NOTE: These requirements are consistent with company policy.

Travel Requirements:

* Approximately 5%
* Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
