* Explanation: Increased requirements for customer cost share and warranty claim rates require additional support to achieve maximum organizational results. 

* Other: Full-time, Exempt position (not eligible for overtime pay)


Position Summary

 

This position will be responsible for Powertrain warranty claim analysis, warranty cost+claim reduction, early detection, and monthly warranty reporting for sharing with the Aisin N.A. team. 


Position Responsibilities

 

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

Primary Responsibilities:


* Support warranty claim reduction activity with Aisin manufacturing, design, and customer teams

* Collection and analysis of warranty claim data to understand trends in data. The reporting of this information to both internal teams and external customers is a critical requirement for this position. 

* Monthly warranty review meetings with the Aisin N.A. plants (NAPs) and engineering team (ATC-A)

* Support vehicle evaluation activity to ensure early detection / early response to issues 

* Create customer warranty cost share packages using the defined process

* Support "go and see" activities at customer locations to understand the issue and voice of the customer for NTF reduction

* Provide monthly warranty reports to QA management with a clear, visual understanding of the current warranty status

* Review warranty return claim recovery parts and monitor customer due dates for analysis reporting

* Advanced problem-solving to identify next steps in identifying cause and developing a plan of action

* Data analysis to identify trends and early detection of issues

* Other tasks and duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Required Skills and Abilities

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

* 3-5 years of prior experience with problem solving and team projects

* Effective communicator with strong customer relationship skills

* Must work in a team environment and independently with the ability to self-manage priorities and schedules (Ability to meet due dates and response times is CRITICAL)

* Experience with the practical use of quality statistical tools and methods 

* Must be proficient with databases, BI tools and data analysis

* Innovative approach to identifying improvement opportunities 

 

 

Beneficial Skills and Experience:

* Community involvement and volunteerism 

* Experience with databases and SQL code

 

 

Education/Training/Certifications

* Bachelor degree required (concentration in Engineering is preferred) 

 

 

Work Environment Requirements

* Must be able to operate a personal computer, telephone and other office equipment.

Attendance/Work Hour Requirements

* Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.

* Must be willing and available to work such weekends and holidays as necessary and desirable to meet business needs.

 

Travel Requirements

* Approximately 25% travel required (driven and air travel)

* Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
