Job Description

* Job Title: Program Lead

* Company: AWA

* Department: Production, Program Management (67)

* Reports to: Assistant Manager, Program Management

* Location: Seymour, IN

* Number of Positions: 1

* Position Type: New Position

 

Other:

* FLSA Status: Exempt Contract

* Overtime Eligibility: Ineligible (Overtime will not be paid)

 

 

Position Responsibilities

 

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

 

* Create and maintain master schedule

- Gather all critical requirements by the customer in terms of activities and timing.

- Gather the critical requirement by all team players to meet the customers’ requirements

- Determine and build the schedule to meet or exceed the customers’ requirements

- Analyze the change points and adjust the schedule as needed.

*  Control the daily tasks of the project

- Conduct regular review meetings with working team to review the actual condition vs the planned activity.

- Determine customer communication method and intervals.

- Be the total program manager for parts or series of parts.

- Manage the program’s change points and generate control plans for all abnormal items.

- Document management and control

- Regular reporting of programs activity at various periods (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) following required methods.

*  Travel to meet with customers and members regularly

- Follow the master schedule and attend critical milestone events (NMPM, PV, HVPT, Run & Rate)

- Attend all customer Kick-off, milestone, or regular meetings onsite.

- “Go and See” the condition at the Aisin plants, or support offices on a regular basis to confirm the condition by themselves.

*  Other tasks and duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Abilities

 

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

* Understanding of Program Management methods and styles. Experience with Toyota systems preferred.

* Organization skills - time and data

* Ability to provide positive communication and build motivated teams

* Ability to hear the frustrations of working groups and set countermeasures to correct

* Ability to support multiple customers and provide assurance of support for their conditions

* Must be able to operate as an effective team member working with and at times leading other members within working Groups

 

Beneficial Skills and Experience:

* Experience with Toyota systems preferred.

* PMP APQP, PPAP, or other PM training

 

Education/Training/Certifications

* Bachelor of Science or experience in a related field

 

Work Environment Requirements

* Must be able to operate a personal computer, telephone and other office equipment.

* Must perform job duties onsite, except those duties that are customarily or by their nature performed offsite (for example, offsite customer visits).

* Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment where constructive criticism is encouraged.

* Must be able to work on multiple assignments at once, and complete assignments within deadline and budget (if applicable) with satisfactory quality.

* Must be able to operate as an effective team member.

* Must be committed to a high standard of safety, and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all company safety policies.

 

Attendance/Work Hour Requirements

* Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.

* Must be willing and available to work such weekends and holidays as necessary and desirable to meet business needs.

 

Travel Requirements

* Approximately 35%

* Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
