Job Description

* Job Title: Production Engineer - Seymour

* Company: Aisin World Corp. of America

* Department: Production Control (67)

* Reports to: Manager, Production Control 

* Location: Seymour, IN

* Number of Positions: 1

* Other: Exempt position, not eligible for overtime pay

* Explanation: Expand the section to support training and additional projects.

 

 

Position Responsibilities

 

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

 

* Fixed Asset

- Support fixed asset planning, budgeting and management

- Idle asset management and spare parts control 

- Export License controlled equipment management

* ABS and Other Training

- Communicate with Japan to determine scope of training

- Review and prepare training materials

- Announce training opportunities to all NAPs and group companies

* Project Management 

- Create, plan, follow and control special projects for equipment or process moves

* Plan, setup and host group meetings for PE and maintenance groups

* Other tasks and duties as assigned by management

* Process, equipment and tool preparation experience 

* Strong organizational skills - time and data

* Ability to provide positive motivation to groups while supporting activities 

* Ability to support multiple projects and provide assurance of support for their conditions 

 

Beneficial Skills and Experience:

* Program or project management training 

 

Education/Training/Certifications

* Bachelor degree in a related field

 

Work Environment Requirements

* Must be able to operate a personal computer, telephone and other office equipment.

* Must perform job duties onsite, except those duties that are customarily or by their nature performed offsite (for example, offsite customer visits).

* Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment where constructive criticism is encouraged.

* Must be able to work on multiple assignments at once, and complete assignments within deadline and budget (if applicable) with satisfactory quality.

* Must be able to operate as an effective team member.

* Must be committed to a high standard of safety, and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all company safety policies.

 

Attendance/Work Hour Requirements

* Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.

* Must be willing and available to work a regular work week plus other hours per day as necessary and desirable to meet business needs.

* Must be willing and available to work such weekends and holidays as necessary and desirable to meet business needs.

Travel Requirements

* Approximately 35%

* Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
