Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Manager, this position is responsible for performing and delivering corporate payroll related duties at the professional level, with responsibilities including but not limited to the processing of payroll for approximately 500 team members and providing various HR administrative support.

Position Responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

 

Payroll

* Process semi-monthly and monthly payrolls for approximately 500 team members, between three Aisin Companies
* Maintain payroll and employment related records consistent with employer best practices, legal compliance, as well as State and Federal law 
* Participate in the employment onboarding, orientation and offboarding processes as necessary
* Maintain the confidentiality of all above areas relevant to the areas described above
* Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

 

HR Administrative Support

* Support the day-to-day operations of the HR department, its various programs and projects as necessary
* Support team member relations activities on an as needed basis

Job Requirements

Required Skills and Abilities

Essential Skills and Experience:
* One to three years of proven experience in processing payroll, including multi-state and local taxes
* Experience and familiarity with using ADP EV5 and ADP Enterprise eTime platforms

* Experience and familiarity with the administration of employer benefits
* Demonstrated knowledge, skills and/or abilities relevant to the areas described above

* Detail oriented, excellent follow-up skills to support internal customers and fellow HR team members
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational and time-management skills

* Proficiency with MS Word but most importantly demonstrated advanced Excel sklls
* Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
* Ability to maintain confidentiality is mandatory

 

Beneficial Skills and Experience:
* Knowledgeable in the administration of FMLA/ADA, STD and LTD related benefits

* Exposure to DOL and EEOC reporting

* Familiarity with Oracle

 

Education/Training/Certifications
* High school diploma or GED
* Formal training on ADP payroll systems - preferred 

* APA Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification – preferred 

 

Work Environment Requirements
* Must be able to operate a personal computer, telephone and other office equipment.
* Must perform job duties onsite, except those duties that are customarily or by their nature performed offsite (for example, offsite customer visits).
* Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment where constructive criticism is encouraged.
* Must be able to work on multiple assignments at once, and complete assignments within deadline and budget (if applicable) with satisfactory quality.
* Must be able to operate as an effective team member.
* Must be committed to a high standard of safety, and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all company safety policies.

 

Attendance/Work Hour Requirements
* Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.

* Must be willing and available to work a regular work week, plus other hours per day or week as are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.

* Must be willing and available to work such weekends and holidays as necessary and desirable to meet business needs.

* NOTE: these requirements are consistent with Company policy



Travel Requirements
* Approximately 5%
* Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
